Design of Broadband Implantable Antenna for Biomedical Application

<p>A broadband implantable antenna is presented for the biomedical system&nbsp;applications. The proposed adopts a spiral monopole structure to realize purpose of miniaturization size. total size including biocompatible superstrates 15 &times; 1.42 mm3 operating frequency at 402 MHz. effects some design parameters on performance are discussed. simulated and measured in skin-mimicking gel show that broad bandwidths 150 MHz (310&ndash;460 MHz) 260 (280&ndash;540 return loss 10 dB can be achieved covering entire Medical Device Radiocommunications Service (MedRadio) Industrial Scientific (ISM, 433&ndash;438 bands, respectively. performs an omnidirectional pattern, showing good candidate systems application.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
